1. Durable hat section posts.

Delta-Waseca's upright post construction is up to 85% stronger and significantly more durable than Z-section designs. The hat design also provides two interior flanges (vs. one for competitors) for more secure mounting of liners and logistics. Note how opposing vertical right angles add extra strength to the posts. Delta-Waseca also uses five posts on the front wall vs. three or four, typical of competitors.

2. Tough 4-inch I-beam cross members

Designed and built rugged like every component of a Delta-Waseca Truck-Tough Body. They're 45% stronger then competitors' 3-inch cross members! Designed to handle heavy work...over and over.

3. Structural channel steel long members

Delta-Waseca's 4-inch structural channel steel long members are 45% stronger than competitors' I-beam long members. High tensile three-dimensional steel gusseting makes them even tougher! Tough enough to take the kind of pounding hard-working trucks have got to take...then come back for more.

4. Extra heavy duty rub rails

Extruded 6063 aluminum alloy. Deeply corrugated for added sidewall protection. Over 40% stronger than flat rub rails.

5. Heavy duty rear corner casting

Heavy duty means just that - corners cast to last and last, to provide extra strength in a key area of the Delta-Waseca Truck-Tough Body. Competitors have eliminated this feature as a cost saving measure, but Delta-Waseca retains the extra protection against moving and leaking that cast aluminum corners provide.

1. Rugged substructure construction.

Offering one of the strongest body floors in the industry, Delta-Waseca substructures feature 4-inch high tensile 80,000 psi yield steel I-beam cross members.

Reinforced with patented anti-buckle gussets on every other cross member. Full-width cross members in the entire area for maximum strength.

Four-inch, high tensile steel gusseted structural channel long sills run full length of body for total support.

2. High-quality lining.

Plywood or baseboard and slats. Plywood lining is exterior grade 3/8" and 1/2" plywood mounted horizontally for optimum strength. Alternate 10-inch high baseboard with six rows of 3-inch wood slats. Beveled wood strips protect door tracks.

3. Penetrating satin sealer.

All exposed wood linings are coated with a sealer which penetrates more deeply to prevent warping. It also leaves a very smooth surface, unlike normal varnish.

4. Attractive, tough flooring.

Laminated hardwood, 1-1/8" thick, securely fastened throughout. With two screws per board per cross member - vs competitors' one screw per board per cross member. Coated with a sealer to enhance appearance, block moisture and avoid warping.

5. Corrosion protection.

A Delta-Waseca van body is completely undercoated for long-lasting protection against road salt corrosion. Steel cross members are isolated from aluminum rub rails with dielectric tape. They are attached with stainless cross member bolts and neoprene-coated stainless washers. The rear frame is stainless steel.

6. Durable roof.

Pre-tensioned .032" aluminum roof skin. One piece, stretched over cambered heavy-duty hat section roof brows on 24" centers. Entire roof edge permanently sealed with waterproof sealants before riveting. Optional translucent fiberglass roof provides better visibility for improved safety and productivity.

7. Reliable lighting.

Top quality LED lights are brighter, more reliable and draw lower electric power.

8. Rugged air flow 5" radius front corner posts.

Heavy-duty extruded aluminum. Provides aerodynamic performance and ability to deflect road hazards. Sturdy cast aluminum corners provide exceptional strength.

9. Strong front and side panels

Prepainted white .040" aluminum.
